Thinking Deeply

If a file is deleted when no one is watching, did the file really ever exist at all?

Did others know of the file you speak of? I am reminded of a 1990s E.R. episode where the ER gets hooked on Doom.

Front Desk Admin: "I think I just deleted Radiology."

So obviously, if other workers were quite aware of radiology folders and files, I assume that there would be a fair amount of finger pointing.

Yes, but one could argue that matter can not be created or destroyed; so therefore, if the files were there before then the files are still there, just in another form. So the inverse should be true: if the file isn't there now, it must never have existed.
